Chelsea teen killed in April 6 crash

A Chelsea teen was killed April 6 about three miles north of Columbiana in a car crash.

According to an Alabama Highway Patrol press release, Nicholas William Hill, 16, was driving a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant on Shelby County 55 when he ran off the roadway and struck a tree. The accident occurred at about 6:50 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the press release, speed was a factor in the accident. The crash remains under investigation.
