The Vincent Yellow Jackets answered with three runs in the bottom of the first inning for a 3-2 victory over Leeds March 22 at the Montevallo tournament.

Vincent (9-9) trailed after the top of the first inning when Leeds scored a pair of runs on two hits for a 2-0 lead. Chase Howard started the scoring for the Yellow Jackets in the bottom of the first inning with a RBI double to right and scored on Jeremiah Gage single to tie the game 2-2. Austin Whitfield scored Gage on an infield-single to give Vincent the 3-2 lead.

DJ Brasher pitched a complete game allowing one earned run on three hits in the victory.

Howard finished the game with a 1-for-3 effort with a double, RBI and a run scored. Whitfield added a 2-for-3 performance with a RBI.
