The Vincent Yellow Jackets opened Class 2A, Area 10 play with a 9-0 shutout victory over Altamont March 6 at home.

The Yellow Jackets (4-5) held a 2-0 lead before erupting for six runs in the fifth to cruise to the 9-0 win.

Hayden Laddie pitched five innings and allowed no runs on two hits with five strikeouts in the win.

Zach Baucom led Vincent batting 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Chase Howard and Cade Carroll each drove in two runs for the Yellow Jackets.
