Man arrested after alleged razor blade attack

WESTOVER — Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man Jan. 11 after he allegedly attacked a relative with a razor blade.
Barry Scott Vick, 41, of Westover was arrested and charged with domestic violence in the first degree.
According to a sheriff’s office press release, deputies responded to a domestic violence report at a residence in the 100 block of Pickens Drive in Westover at approximately 8 p.m. Jan. 11.
There, deputies discovered two adult male relatives had been involved in a fight, and one had been cut with a razor blade across his chest. Both were treated at the scene and transported to local hospitals to be evaluated, according to the release.
After an investigator reviewed the circumstances, Vick was arrested and transported to the Shelby County Jail, where he remains without bond.
Joshua Henderson, 30, of Westover was released from the hospital and is recovering from his injuries, according to the release.
