The Shelby County tournament will conclude Dec. 22 ending the four-day event.

Action began Dec. 15 with four first round games at Calera High School. Pelham and Chelsea girls’ basketball teams and Chelsea and Vincent boys’ teams each picked up wins to advance to the second round.

Second round games will be played Thursday, Dec. 20 at Oak Mountain, Shelby County and Calera High Schools.

Locations for the Dec. 21 semifinal games are to be determined after action on Thursday. Championship games will be held at the University of Montevallo’s BankTrust Arena Dec. 22. Girls championship game will begin at 4:30 p.m. and boys title game will tip-off at 6 p.m.
