Mrs. Claus to visit Montevallo library

MONTEVALLO – Mrs. Claus will read a story and dole out milk and cookies to kids at the Parnell Memorial Library Dec. 1.
The event will begin at 10 a.m., and a showing of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will follow in the library’s theater at 11 a.m.
Bud’s Best Cookies and Piggly Wiggly donated the cookies and milk.
The library also has a calendar full of Christmas events during the month of December.
Every Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., kids can watch Christmas movies such as “Search for Santa Paws,” Santa Buddies” and “Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving.”
Dec. 13 is a movie night for the whole family with a showing of “It’s a Wonderful Life” at 5:30 p.m.
The following Thursday, Dec. 20, kids can make pinecone Christmas tree crafts at 3:30 p.m.
