BESSEMER – The Spain Park Jaguars opened the 2012-2013 season with a 55-42 road victory over the Bessemer City Tigers on Nov. 5.

The Jaguars (1-0) took a 14-10 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Spain Park added to their lead for a 30-21 lead at the half, then outscored the Tigers 25-22 in the second half to secure the 55-42 win.

Deion Wright led the Jaguars with 16 points with Austin Jones adding 11 points. Jonathon Toups finished with 10 points.

Micah Fuller led the Tigers with 14 points.

Spain Park will return to action on Nov. 10 when they take on Oxford at the Gadsden State CC Tipoff at 3 p.m.
