MONTGOMERY-Kingwood Christian’s volleyball season ended in the semi-finals of the AISA state championship, as the Lions fell to eventual state champion Macon East Academy 3-0 (25-22, 25-9, 25-13).

The Lions (30-9) were led in the loss by Madelyn Pearce with 5 kills, an ace, and two assists.  Casey Whitmer added five kills while Katie Allen Etheridge chipped in six kills.  Blair Holsombeck had two kills and 18 assists for the Lions.

Macon East has now won back-to-back AISA state championships.
