COLUMBIANA- Shelby County defeated Sylacauga High School 3-1 (30-32, 25-19, 25-14, 25-18) to claim the Class 5A Area 10 volleyball championship. Both teams will advance to the South Super Regional at The Multiplex  At Cramton Bowl in Montgomery on Oct. 26-27.

The Wildcats had a bye in the first round as they watched Sylacauga defeat Talladega High School.

Jasmyn Buie led the Wildcats with 17 kills, while Heather Childers added 14 kills.  Kayle Cardwell and Haleigh Green chipped in 12 kills apiece.  Alisha White and Tempest Cantrell combined for 71 assists. Brittany Shuster added nine digs.
