HOOVER — The Alabama Department of Revenue will host two free New Business Workshops Oct. 18.

The workshops will cover a variety of state tax information topics, including employer withholding taxes, state and local sales taxes, property taxes, business licensing requirements and Alabama’s child labor law.

An overview of Alabama’s business tax electronic filing programs will also be presented.

The workshops are set for 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Jefferson/Shelby Taxpayer Service Center at 2020 Valleydale Road in Hoover.

Alabama Department of Revenue representatives will present the same material at both workshops.
