Shelby Humane Society’s pets of the week, Bella and Zippy have it all — except for a forever, loving home. But with your help, they will have that too!

Bella is a 4-year old chow chow/golden retriever mix. This sweet girl is very friendly and likes attention but is not pushy about getting it. She’s got great looks to go along with a great personality. Bella’s happy demeanor can brighten anyone’s day and if you are looking for a nice family dog that can go with the flow then she is the one!

Next we have Zippy, a 4-month old grey/white short-haired cat who loves to play and likes getting spoiled with his daily treats. He has a beautiful coat, likes to be brushed and occasionally will carry on his own conversation with you! On Sept. 22, the Shelby Humane Society will have a “Fall” For Me Mega Adoption event here at the shelter from noon-10 p.m. The Society will have football playing on TVs, shaved ice and animals needing good homes.
