The Kingwood Christian volleyball team held off Central Christian (Robertsdale, AL) 12-25, 25-14, 15-13  to win the Rug Rat Classic on Saturday, Sept 1.

Madelyn Pearce earned tournament MVP honors with 25 kills, three aces, and three digs. Blair Holsombeck and Kendall Jonseof were each named to the All Tournament team. Holsombeck accounted for 45 assists while Jonseof had 16 digs for the Lions.

Kingwood Christian (14-4, 2-0) defeated Sherwood Christian (Albany, GA) 25-13, 30-28 in the semifinals.
