The Thompson High School volleyball team defeated Homewood and McAdory in a pair of high school volleyball matches Aug. 23.

The Warriors defeated host Homewood 25-16, 25-20.

Katie Guiser led Thompson (2-0) with seven kills in the victory. Guiser also posted three service aces.

Kelsea Bivins added six kills. Sarah Allen posted four service aces. August Newberry finished with four digs.

Tara Miller contributed a team-high 11 assists.

Thompson defeated McAdory 25-18, 25-19.

Allen led the Warriors with four kills in the victory.

Newberry posted a team-high four digs. Miller contributed a team-high eight assists in the win.
