For Wayne Thompson, feeding the ducks at Hoover’s Star Lake is a labor of love.

For the past 30 years, Wayne, now 89, has gone to Star Lake, close to the Hoover Country Club, every day to feed the ducks.

He began feeding the ducks with his wife, Ayleene, in 1982, and continues the tradition today even though Ayleene isn’t able to come along anymore.
