CALERA – Reports from a car accident near Interstate 65 exit 234 sounded more serious than in actuality, according to state troopers.

“Originally, it sounded very serious, but there is no road blockage, and traffic is flowing in both directions,” Sgt. Steve Jarrett said. “There are no fatalities, but there was one serious injury.”

At approximately 10:20 a.m., Jarrett said a public information officer was on his way to the scene. More information may be provided at a later time.
