The University of Montevallo volleyball team has released its 2012 schedule, which includes 10 regular season home matches. The Falcons will hit the road for 22 matches.

The Falcons open up the 2012 season at the seventh annual Lions Classic in St. Leo, Fla., hosted by Saint Leo University. Montevallo will play four matches over two days on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. Montevallo will open up against Southwest Baptist University and Queens University of Charlotte on day one before taking on the University of Charleston and host Saint Leo on day two.

The Falcons will then travel to the University of West Georgia for a single match on Sept. 4. After a tournament at Anderson on Sept. 7-8 and a tournament at Carson-Newman on Sept. 14-15, the Falcons travel to the University of West Alabama for a single match.

After a 13-match road swing to open the season, the Falcons open up their home court on Sept. 22 as they host Augusta State University in their Peach Belt Conference opener.

Following their first home match, the Falcons hit the road for a pair of matches against teams that finished the 2011 season ranked in the top 25. Montevallo travels to No. 25 Armstrong Atlantic State University on Sept. 28 and then heads south to No. 14 Flagler College on Sept. 29.

Montevallo hosts a tri-match on Oct. 6 as the Falcons take on USC-Aiken and the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Montevallo also hosts No. 25 Armstrong Atlantic State and No. 14 Flagler on Nov. 2-3. The final home match for the Falcons is another tri-match as the Falcons host UNC-Pembroke and the University of West Florida on Nov. 10.
