MONTEVALLO – A reward is pending for information regarding the dog that was skinned alive in Montevallo May 25.
Alabama State Director of the Humane Society Mindy Gilbert said the Humane Society of the United States is prepared to offer a reward, and the Alabama Humane Federation and the Animal Control Association have offered to add to the reward.
A 1-year-old black pug was “skinned alive,” according to its owner, Delana Dunnaway. Dunnaway found the dog on her property located off Chilton County 868, just south of the Shelby County line.
“The reward has not been issued because we’re waiting to hear back from an investigator with the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office,” Gilbert said.
She said the reward would be paid for information through the sheriff’s office.
