John “Fuzzy” Whiddon

John “Fuzzy” Whiddon, age 65, of Homewood and Columbiana, was a member of the IBEW Local 136 and also the International Brotherhood of Magicians and Magic City Magic Club. John was a big supporter of Homewood High School, JSU and UNA sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Elizabeth Whiddon. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mrs. Judy Brown Whiddon; sons, Jon Headrick Whiddon and Jason II March Whiddon (Angie); grandsons, Kael and Chayson; granddaughter, Anna Teal; and brother, Paul Whiddon.

Funeral services will be held at the Alabama National Cemetery, May 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Nolen Hospital and Comfort Care Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity in John’s memory.
