The Briarwood Christian School softball team defeated Clay-Chalkville 3-0 in high school softball action April 30.

Ashlyn Boyd led the Lions offensively as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple. Boyd also drove in two runs in the victory.

Rachel Walz, who drove in one run and scored one run, went 2-for-3 at the plate. Morgan Reed finished 1-for-3 at the plate and scored one run. DeOra Simon finished 1-for-2 at the plate and scored one run.

Natalie Kidd went 1-for-3 at the plate with a double. Amelia Moore finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Madison Chambers went 1-for-3 at the plate.

Reed earned the win in the circle after giving up just four hits with nine strikeouts and two walks in a complete-game victory.
