The Chelsea High School girls’ soccer team defeated Ramsay 10-0 in its opening match in the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 5A playoffs May 1.

Britne Holderby led the Hornets with four goals in the victory.

Allie Cochran added three goals in the win. Cheyenne Thompson, Perri Lambert and Emily Goodall scored one goal each.

Chelsea goalkeeper Ashleigh Niven posted the shutout.

The Hornets will face Moody in a Class 5A quarterfinal match May 1.
