The Cornerstone Christian School softball team swept Marengo Academy in a doubleheader in high school softball action April 26.

The Chargers edged Marengo Academy 6-5 in eight innings in the opener.

Destiny Dillard led Cornerstone Christian offensively as she finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and a double. Dillard drove in two runs and scored two runs in the victory.

Destiny Upton earned the win in the circle in relief after giving up just one unearned run with one strikeout in three innings.

Jana Armstrong allowed four runs, including two earned runs, on six hits with three strikeouts and one walk in five innings.

Cornerstone Christian defeated Marengo Academy 6-4 in the nightcap.

Upton led the Chargers offensively as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate. Upton drove in two runs in the victory.

Dillard picked up the win in the circle after giving up four runs, including one earned run, on five hits with two strikeouts and one walk in a five-inning complete-game victory.
