The Pelham High School softball team edged Vestavia Hills 5-3 in extra innings in high school softball action April 25.

Mary Morgan Dramer led the Panthers offensively as she finished 3-for-5 at the plate with a double. Dramer drove in two runs and scored one run in the victory.

Madi Walker went 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in two runs. Emily Spain finished 2-for-4 at the plate and scored one run. Becky Fox went 1-for-2 at the plate and scored one run.

Gillespie earned the win after giving up just one earned run on eight hits with eight strikeouts and four walks in seven innings.

Fox allowed two runs, including one earned run, on four hits with two strikeouts in one inning.
