The Spain Park High School softball team defeated Mountain Brook 8-7 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 12 contest April 24.

Casey Craig led the Jaguars offensively as she finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a pair of triples. Craig drove in one run and scored two runs.

Madi Gipson, who drove in two runs and scored two runs, went 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and a double. Mary Kathryn Bonamy finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of doubles and drove in three runs.

Julie Knight earned the win in the circle after giving up two earned runs on eight hits with two strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings in relief.

Haleigh Sisson allowed five runs on seven hits with two strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
