The Briarwood Christian School boys’ soccer team defeated Demopolis 8-0 in high school soccer action to claim an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 5A section championship April 20.

Devin Bowman and Kyle Kimel led the Lions with two goals each in the victory. Bowman added two assists, while Kimel finished with one assist in the win.

Hunter Smith and Zach Bekken contributed one goal and one assist each in the win. Salvatore Cuneo and Tyler Tilford scored one goal each. Alex Jager added one assist.

Briarwood Christian goalkeeper Jordan Box registered seven saves in the shutout.
