Eagles win four games in tournament

The Oak Mountain High School softball team picked up four victories in the Northwest Alabama Bash tournament April 20-21 in Florence.
The Eagles defeated host Florence 18-3.
Caroline Seitz led Oak Mountain offensively as she finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a pair of homers. Seitz drove in five runs and scored two runs.
Leah Reeve, who drove in two runs and scored one run, went 3-for-3 at the plate with a homer. Kailey Boone finished 4-for-4 at the plate and drove in three runs. Maddie Ridgway went 3-for-4 at the plate and drove in two runs.
Reeve earned the win after giving up three runs, including two earned runs, on four hits with three strikeouts in three innings.
Oak Mountain defeated Oakland (Tenn.) 4-1 in the tournament.
Reeve led the Eagles offensively as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in two runs.
Seitz and Boone each finished 1-for-3 at the plate.
Anne Thomaston earned the win in the circle after giving up just one earned run on four hits with five strikeouts in a complete-game victory.
The Eagles topped West Morgan 5-0 in the tournament.
Boone led Oak Mountain offensively as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a homer. Boone drove in three runs and scored one run.
Reeve finished 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in one run. Reeve earned the win in the circle after allowing just one hit with nine strikeouts in a complete-game shutout.
Oak Mountain defeated Lawrence County 4-0 and Giles County (Tenn.) 10-0 in the tournament April 20.
