The Coosa Valley Academy baseball team edged Fort Dale Academy 3-2 in eight innings in high school baseball action April 13.

Cody Wood drove in the game-winning run for the Rebels in the eighth inning. Wood drove in Preston Parker, who reached on an error, with his double in the gap.

Allen Logan led Coosa Valley offensively with two hits. Wood, Michael Mims, Stephen Cryer and Tyler Hickman added one hit each.

Jake Carter earned the win on the mound.
