A quartet of Shelby County high school student-athletes have been selected to participate in the All-Star Sports Week held July 9-13 in Montgomery, accoding to an announcement by the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association.

Pelham High School junior pitcher Whitney Gillespie and Oak Mountain High School junior shortstop will participate in the all-star softball doubleheader.

Spain Park High School junior outfielder Josh Close and Briarwood Christian School junior infielder/pitcher Daniel Robert will participate in the all-star baseball doubleheader.
