No additional information is available concerning the body discovered in Chelsea resident Carrie Elaine Gentry’s SUV in a Leeds quarry on April 10, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office is awaiting notification from the Jefferson County Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office, according to a press release.

There is no confirmed identity of the body at this time. Dental records will be used in the identification and a forensic odontologist is unavailable at this time, the release stated.
