The Chelsea High School softball team defeated Vestavia Hills 5-1 in high school softball action April 9.

Caitlin Bice led the Hornets offensively as she finished 3-for-3 at the plate. Bice scored two runs in the victory.

Allie Luster, who drove in one run and scored one run, went 2-for-4 at the plate. Alex Osborn and Amber McCarty each finished 2-for-3 at the plate.

Kacie Craft earned the win in the circle after giving up one earned run on one hit with two strikeouts and four walks in six innings. Bice allowed two hits in one inning in relief.
