The Thompson High School softball team defeated Oxford 4-2 in the Spring Sting tournament championship game April 7.

Taylor Powell led the Warriors offensively as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of doubles. Powell drove in two runs in the victory.

Rachel Rigney finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and drove in one run. Savannah Gossett went 1-for-3 at the plate with a double and drove in one run.

Powell earned the win in the circle after giving up two earned runs on four hits with five strikeouts an one walk in a complete-game victory.
