The Hope Christian School softball team split a doubleheader with First Assembly Christian in high school softball action April 4.

The Eagles defeated First Assembly 16-0 in the opener.

Abby Patton led Hope Christian with a homer in the victory. Patton drove in five runs in the win.

Samantha Rowley, Amanda Rowley, Glennleigh Boyd and Kathleen Clark added a single each.

Clark drove in two runs. Amanda Rowley and Rachel Rettig drove in one run each in the victory.

Lindy Walker, who earned the win in the circle, struck out 11 batters in four innings.

Hope Christian fell to First Assembly 9-8 in the nightcap.

Samantha Rowley led the Eagles with two hits, including a homer, and drove in four runs.

Amanda Rowley and Brianna Thompson added one hit each.

Lindy Walker, who took the loss in relief, struck out one batter in 2/3 of an inning. Amanda Rowley started in the circle and struck out six batters in four innings.
