COLUMBIANA – The Columbiana Beautification Board has announced its April home and business winners.

“In April, we selected the home of David and Gayle Vinson, who live on North Timothy Drive,” said Becky Moore, a member of the beautification board. “We chose them for the appearance of their yard, the neatness, the beauty of it and the things they have blooming.”

The board named The Shoals apartments as the attractive business of April. The Shoals, a 55-and-older apartment complex, is located off Alabama 25 in Columbiana.

“We take recommendations from members of the board, and different members try to go around and select what would be the best representative of what we’re looking for,” Moore said.
