The Chelsea High School softball team defeated Mountain Brook 2-1 in high school softball action April 5.

Amber McCarty led the Hornets offensively as she finished 1-for-2 at the plate with a homer.

Erin Jones finished 1-for-2 at the plate and drove in one run.

Kacie Craft earned the win in the circle after giving up six hits with one strikeout and three walks in 5 2/3 scoreless innings.

Alex Osborn gave up just one earned run on one hit with five walks in 1 1/3 innings.
