Panthers shut out Spain Park

The Pelham High School baseball team defeated Spain Park 5-0 in high school baseball action March 31.
Fletcher Johnson led the Panthers at the plate as he finished 2-for-3 with a double. Johnson drove in two runs in the victory.
Ty Pierce finished 1-for-2 and scored three runs. Parker Curry went 1-for-2 at the plate. Sam Finnerty finished 1-for-2 at the plate, while Jackson Pruitt went 1-for-3 at the plate.
Hunter Soleymani and Eli Beall scored one run each. Robert Wilson and Thomas Lowery drove in one run each.
Curry earned the win on the mound after giving up eight hits with 10 strikeouts in six innings. Chase Brashier struck out two batters and issued one walk without giving up a hit in one inning in relief.
Mikey White led Spain Park at the plate as he went 2-for-3 with a double.
Josh Close finished 2-for-4 at the plate. Grant Veteto finished 1-for-3 with a double. Paul Angel went 1-for-4 at the plate. Hunter Hall and Dustin Cowart each finished 1-for-3 at the plate.
Cowart took the loss after giving up five runs, including four earned runs, on four hits with two strikeouts and three walks in five innings.
Max Goldsmith allowed two hits and struck out one batter in two innings in relief.
