The Calera High School baseball team defeated Tarrant 14-3 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 4A, Area 7 action March 27.

Keith Dowdell led the Eagles at the plate as he finished 2-for-4 with an inside-the-park homer and a triple. Dowdell drove in one run in the win.

Ryne Phelps finished 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in one run. Jeremy Hyde went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and drove in two runs. J.R. Seay finished 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in two runs.

Michael Marfice earned the win on the mound after giving up three runs in four innings.
