Panthers shut out Gardendale

The Pelham High School baseball team defeated Gardendale 12-0 in a spring break tournament March 22 in Panama City, Fla.
Hunter Stovall led the Panthers (23-1) offensively as he went 2-for-2 at the plate. Stovall drove in one run and scored three runs in the victory.
Ty Pierce, who drove in two runs and scored two runs, finished 1-for-2 at the plate with a triple. Hunter Soleymani, who drove in two runs and scored one run, went 1-for-2 at the plate with a double.
Parker Curry, who drove in two runs and scored one run, finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Robert Wilson finished 1-for-3 at the plate and drove in two runs.
Thomas Lowery earned the win on the mound after giving up just one hit with six strikeouts and two walks in a five-inning complete-game victory.
