Spain Park defeats Tuscaloosa County in tournament

The Spain Park High School baseball team defeated Tuscaloosa County 18-8 in the Baptist Health System Buccaneer Classic tournament March 20 at Hoover High School.
Colton Freeman led the Jaguars (14-10) at the plate as he went 3-for-5 with a homer. Freeman drove in three runs and scored four runs in the victory.
Paul Angel, who drove in three runs and scored one run, went 4-for-4 at the plate. Will McDonald, who drove in three runs and scored two runs, finished 3-for-4 with a double. Josh Rich, who drove in one run and scored three runs, went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Hunter Hall, who drove in three runs and scored two runs, finished 1-for-4 with a double. Dustin Cowart finished 1-for-3 and scored one run. Jon Sumner went 1-for-4 with a double. Brandon Marley, who drove in two runs and scored one run, finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Wes Barrentine went 1-for-1 and drove in one run.
Mikey White drove in one run and scored two runs. Peyton Walsh scored two runs in the victory.
Jonathan Crawford earned the win on the mound after giving up eight runs, including four earned runs, on seven hits with one strikeout in 4 2/3 innings. Trey Hawker gave up just one hit in 1 1/3 innings in relief.
