The Shelby County High School baseball team defeated Fairfield 14-3 in the Joe Campbell tournament March 20 at Homewood High School.

Mike Pate led the Wildcats at the plate as he finished 3-for-4 and homered twice in the victory. Pate drove in six runs in the win.

Evan McNeal finished 2-for-5 at the plate with a double and drove in one run.

Cody Jones earned the win on the mound after giving up three runs on three hits with six strikeouts and a walk in a five-inning complete-game victory.
