The Briarwood Christian School baseball team edged Tallassee 4-3 in the Lake Martin Classic tournament March 20 in Alexander City.

Ben Craft led the Lions (13-4) as he went 3-for-3 at the plate.

Ethan Simmons finished 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in three runs in the victory. Tanner Cunningham also went 2-for-4 at the plate.

Cole Pearson finished 1-for-4 at the plate and scored two runs. Daniel Robert, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 1-for-4 with a double.

Simmons earned the win on the mound after giving up three runs, including one earned run, on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks in six innings. Craft struck out three batters in one inning in relief.
