The Thompson High School baseball team fell to Hewitt-Trussville 5-2 in its opening game in a spring break tournament March 19 in Panama City, Fla.

Trey Matherson led the Warriors at the plate as he finished with one hit and drove in one run.

Hunter Rigney took the loss on the mound after giving up six earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts and four walks in 4 2/3 innings.
