Panthers sweep Tuscaloosa County in doubleheader

The Pelham High School baseball team swept Tuscaloosa County in a high school baseball doubleheader March 13 to remain undefeated.
The Panthers (16-0) defeated Tuscaloosa County 5-1 in the opener.
Hunter Stovall led Pelham as he finished 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in a pair of runs.
Jackson Pruitt, who drove in two runs and scored one run, went 1-for-2 at the plate.
Hunter Soleymani earned the win on the mound after giving up just one unearned run on one hit with five strikeouts and two walks in a complete-game victory.
Pelham defeated Tuscaloosa County 3-0 in the nightcap.
Ty Pierce led the Panthers at the plate as he finished 2-for-3 with a double and scored a run.
Thomas Lowery also went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Sam Finnerty earned the win on the mound after giving up just three hits with four strikeouts and a walk in a complete-game shutout.
