Lions top Talladega

The Briarwood Christian School softball team defeated Talladega 10-2 in high school softball action March 14.
Savannah Kolb led the Lions as she went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and drove in four runs.
Rachel Walz, who had two stolen bases, finished 2-for-3 and scored three runs. Morgan Reed went 2-for-5 and scored one run. Natalie Kidd finished 2-for-3 at the plate.
Ashlyn Boyd went 1-for-2 with a triple at the plate. Boyd, who had a stolen base, drove in two runs and scored two runs in the victory.
Reed earned the win in the circle after giving up just one earned run on one hit with seven strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
Linsley Splawn allowed one unearned run on two hits with four strikeouts and two walks in 3 2/3 innings in relief.
