Briarwood Christian defeats Shelby County in area contest

The Briarwood Christian School baseball team defeated Shelby County 16-0 in an Alabama Christian Sports Conference contest March 13.
Cameron Adams earned the win on the mound after pitching a perfect game in a five-inning complete-game shutout.
Daniel Robert hit a grand slam and Carter Tyra also homered in the victory for the Lions, who improved to 10-3 overall.
Tyra finished 3-for-3 at the plate with a homer and a double. Tyra drove in three runs and scored three runs in the victory.
Robert went 1-for-2 at the plate with a homer. Robert drove in four runs and scored three runs in the win.
Tanner Cunningham, who drove in one run and scored three runs, finished 3-for-3 at the plate. Tanner Gann, who drove in one run and scored one run, went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Ethan Simmons, who drove in two runs and scored one run, finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a double. Cole Pearson, who drove in three runs and scored one run, went 1-for-2 at the plate.
Will Baumgartner finished 1-for-1 at the plate. Will Dyson went 1-for-2 at the plate and drove in two runs. Sam Morris finished 1-for-2 and scored two runs. Kevin McKelvey scored two runs in the victory.
Evan Nash took the loss for Shelby County after giving up six earned runs on four hits with a strikeout and a walk in one inning.
Jacob Pennington allowed six earned runs on four hits with two walks in one inning in relief. Cody Jones gave up for earned runs on six hits with five strikeouts and a walk in three innings on the mound.
