Panthers finish third in Hanceville Invitational

The Pelham High School boys’ golf team finished third out of 15 teams in the Hanceville Invitational tournament March 12 in Cullman.
The Panthers carded a team score of 327 strokes, which put them 14 strokes behind tournament winner Cullman. Grissom finished second with a team score of 324 strokes.
Connor Slane of Pelham was the low medalist in the tournament with his score of 2-under par 70, which earned him a spot on the all-tournament team in a field of 85 golfers.
Justin Nolen of Pelham fired a 5-over par 77, which earned him a tie for ninth place overall in individual standings.
John Menke shot an 89, while Ray Foushee finished with a score of 91.
