Goodwin’s fellow students are starting Facebook pages and coming up with ideas to collect money to send to the Goodwin family.
“We’re trying to get the Twitter hashtag ‘#Pray4Chris’ trending,” Grigsby said.

Students have also created a Facebook group, the “Christopher Goodwin Care Page,” so people can leave words of encouragement for Goodwin and his family.

SCHS band members and friends of Goodwin collected $267 during a single lunch period to send to the Goodwin family.

“It reaffirms that there are still good people out there, especially in the younger generation,” Grigsby said. “I’m proud and honored to be a part of a group like that.”

According to information on the Facebook group page, a P.O. box has been set up to accept mailed donations and cards at P.O. Box 45, Sterrett, Ala. 35147.
