The Calera High School softball team defeated Hale County 5-3 in the Patriot Classic tournament Feb. 25.

Katie Eiland led the Eagles at the plate with a double and a triple while driving in one run.

EIland also earned the win in the circle.

Skyler Laird and Shelby Wright also drove in one run each. Shelby Clark led Calera with two stolen bases.

Calera dropped games against Demopolis, Cordova and Moody in the tournament.

The Eagles fell to Demopolis 7-1. Jocelyn Davis and Somer Roberson finished with one stolen base each. Roberson took the loss in the circle.

Calera fell to Cordova 4-2. Clark led the Eagles with a triple. Jocelyn Davis drove in one run and finished with two stolen bases. Wright finished with one stolen base.

Roberston took the loss in the circle.

Calera fell to Moody 8-0. Eiland took the loss in the circle.
