It’s Dagenhart’s second year competing in the Shelby County Cattlemen’s Rodeo. He makes the trek from Statesville, N.C.

“We travel as far as Canada to Florida and sometimes we’ll venture over to Texas for rodeos,” Dagenhart said.

Dagenhart enjoys the quality of the Cattlemen’s Rodeo and the crowd.

“It’s a good rodeo, good crowd and they’re real loud,” Dagenhart said.

Dagenhart says the more loud the audience cheers, the more it fuels him.

“It’s the adrenaline,” he said. “The louder and more exciting the better.”
