The Coosa Valley Academy baseball team defeated Springwood 12-2 in high school baseball action Feb. 23.

Garrett McMillan led the Rebels (3-2) with two hits. McMillan also drove in three runs in the victory.

Allen Logan added one hit and drove in three runs. Hunter Winslett and Austin Tatum each finished with one hit and drove in two runs.

Preston Parker, Michael Mims and Steven Cryer finished with one hit each.

Cody Wood earned the win on the mound after giving up two unearned runs on one hit with six strikeouts in a five-inning complete game.
