Panthers sweep Northridge in doubleheader

The Pelham High School baseball team swept Northridge in a doubleheader in high school baseball action Feb. 22.
The Panthers defeated Northridge 7-1 in the opener.
Ty Pierce led Pelham (4-0) at the plate as he finished 3-for-3 with a triple. Pierce drove in one run and scored four runs in the win.
Tanner Jackson went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Thomas Lowery earned the win on the mound after giving up one unearned run on three hits with 10 strikeouts in a complete-game victory.
Pelham topped Northridge 6-1 in the nightcap.
Hunter Soleymani led the Panthers at the plate as he finished 2-for-3 with a double. Soleymani drove in one run and scored two runs in the victory. Jackson went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.
Zach Canant earned the win on the mound after giving up one unearned run on three hits with two strikeouts and two walks in a complete-game victory.
