Pelham High School golfer Connor Slane finished third overall in a field of more than 80 golfers Feb. 20 at the season-opening West Alabama Classic at Ol Colony Golf Course in Tuscaloosa.

Slane carded a 4-over par 148, which placed him third in the field and helped him earn an all-tournament nod. Slane fired a 4-over par 76 in the opening round and carded an even par 72 in the final round.

The Panthers finished 12th out of 15 teams in the tournament with a score of 687.

Justin Nolen finished with a score of 171. Josh Shaw shot a 178. MacKenzie Holler carded a 192. John Menke fired a 199.
